I have been in close contact with Selling Sunset Spain for a good 6 months, as was recently on inspection viewing trip in Murcia. Iain Mitchell showed us several properties that matched our budget and criteria.We were under no pressure to buy, but we were so happy with our purchase. Gillian and Iain helped us buy our apartment in Las Terrazas de La Torre, and were amazing from start to finish. From letting us know about the bank repossessions coming on the market, to handing us our keys, they couldn’t have been more helpful. They introduced us to a lawyer to help us through the process, a currency exchange company who helped get us a great deal compared to the high street bank, a company to help us register a car in Spain, and gave many other recommendations throughout the process. Their knowledge of the local area, and helping us understand what is normal in Spain was so much help. Gillian helped keep me calm when the bank repossession formalities seemed to take forever and it felt like we were going in circles, but it was all so worth it in the end to get our little bit of luxury in the sun. They also got their tradesmen to sort out our electrics and some small snagging issues, so the apartment was ready for us arriving. Nothing was too much trouble. The most helpful, genuine and trustworthy property agents you could find, I’d highly recommend Selling Sunset to anyone.

We visited La Torre in Murcia in October 2023 with a view to get a feel for the area. Whilst there we had some viewings with several estate agents, one being Selling Sunset and Gill. We explained to her that we were only looking as probably wouldn't be in a position to buy until middle of 2024. She was totally fine with that and while we had only chosen one property to view, she showed us around several other different properties so we could do a compare and contrast. Gill also gave us an introduction to a company that she recommended for currency exchange for when we were ready to proceed. We fell in love with a property when we were there which unfortunately for us had just accepted an offer. We asked Gill to contact us if any properties similar to the one we loved came on the market. She had been so helpful in us making up our mind on what we finally decided we did want, which was different to what we originally thought we wanted. A few weeks later we were told the property sale had fallen through. Gill was fantastic in contact with me negotiating the whole process and we agreed a sale with the vendor. Thats when the panic set in and hearing stories about the Spanish buying process. Gill arranged a local solicitor for us and helped us every step of the way. In February we flew over to pick up the keys. We arrived on a Sunday and Gill and Iain both welcomed us at the house to give us the keys and talk us though everything in the property. I can't thank them enough for making the whole process so easy and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The currency provider they recommended saved us thousands on the exchange and we continue to use them for all transfers to our Spanish account. The solicitor they recommended have also been great sorting everything out for us. So much so that we have retained their services too for all our future needs.

With so many different estate agents out there you’d think it would be hard to choose what one would be best. Don’t waste your time with any other agents. Iain and Gill at Selling Sunset should be your top choice if you’re buying or selling in Spain. We used Selling Sunset for both our purchase and sale. They are professional, diligent, know their market, patient, respectful and to top it all off they’re bloomin’ nice people! Once the sale contract had been signed we had a couple of bumps in the road from the buyers side. At this stage in the process it should’ve been down to just both sides of Solicitors to sort out. Thanks to Iain and Gill’s perseverance it was done so much quicker. So much care, time and effort is taken on the marketing side of things. In fact, had I known Gill when we bought the apartment I’d have asked her to style the entire place. When Gill staged our apartment for the photos, I was seriously considering taking it off the market lol. Gill always kept me updated on what was going on which was very much appreciated. You guys are truly one of a kind ☺️❤️
